    • Cake Menu I have always been inspired by the beautiful gateaux of France; those lovely pastel cakes at Lenotre in Paris and the rustic pastries and tarts of Provence. Certainly no one has excelled more in the art of making cakes than the French patissier. And it is from these masters that we have taken our repertory of cakes and fancy pastries. Of course we could not neglect some of our other favorite regional specialties: those incredible Hungarian pastries, elaborate Viennese tortes and especially those American layer cakes that are so wonderfully satisfying. But regardless of style, all of our cakes, created before dawn every day at Susan Lawrence, are made from the finest ingredients: fresh cream, sweet butter, imported chocolates, pure vanilla, delicious fresh fruits and berries. – Mark Kramer
